Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's talent for athletics was evident from the moment she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s and set a new junior world record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
