Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first race, Felix finished second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003 and became a part of Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. In the following year, she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. One year later Felix won her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record taking 200 metres at 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her longtime Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes at her particular events.
