Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 . She was lived in Kentwood (Louisiana). As a child, Britney attended dance classes and excelled in gymnastics, winning numerous contests and other similar. But, perhaps most importantly, Britney loved to sing. Britney was eight years old when she attempted to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however, her young age led to her being rejected. The show then redirected her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for 2 years as the lead character. She tried again in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but this time as a mouseketeer. Her biggest breakthrough, however, was when she was signed as Jive Recording Artist in the latter part of the 1990s. Britney's debut album, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" which was released May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was destined to be the next big thing from an early age. Britney loved singing and was influenced by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney auditioned to The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on television at age 8. But she was not old enough for the role. Britney along with her little sister, Britney, moved to New York, where she appeared in many TV commercials as well as an off Broadway play called "Ruthless" under the direction by Natalie Portman. The passion for music and dance took over and, two years after, she auditioned for part in "Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, was selected for the part with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
