Beyoncé Giselle Knowles
Beyonce Giselle Knowles, was born on
September 4, 1981 in Houston. Her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson creates their
sparkling costumes and her dad, Mathew Knowles oversees Destiny's Child.
Solange is her older sister (4 years apart) is releasing her first album. She
dances along with her large sister at DC-3 performances. Beyonce is of
Louisiana Creole & African descent. The group she and her friends were
found by Whitney Houston. Lovefool The song, performed by The Cardigans, is her
top song. She loves a pair metallic silver path work boots. She wrote and
produced some of the group's best-known songs, including "Jumpin
jumping", "Bootylicious", Nasty Girl"," Independent
Women", "Happy Face", as well as "Apple Pie A La
Mode". The lead singer of Destiny's Child's singing group. She opened for
Christina Aguilera in 2000. TLC was their opening performance (1999). The cat
is named Master P. P attended the High School for the Performing and Visual
Arts in Houston, Texas. Solange is Nixon & Koi Knowles her older half-sister.
Star Search (1983) - The singer-songwriter once was a part of the show. In
2001, she became the first woman of African descent to receive the ASCAP Pop
Songwriter of the Year Award. She is a huge fan and admirer of Middle Eastern
music. Her biggest hit track is "Crazy in Love", (2003). She was a
part of several awards shows in 2003 which included the Radio Music Awards (MTV
Europe Video Music Awards), Billboard Awards and the Billboard Awards. She was
also a performer at the South African AIDS benefit event, which Bono of U2
hosted in November 2003 to combat the AIDS epidemic. (February 8, 2004) The
singer won five Grammy Awards, including Best Contemporary R&B Album for
"Dangerously in Love", she took home the most accolades at the (2004)
performance. Her father, Mathew, is of African American descent. The mother of
her, Tina, is of Louisiana Creole heritage - predominantly African and French
and has ancestors from Louisiana and before that, Canada. Beyonce is also 1/32
Irish and has distant Breton and Spanish, Indonesian and Chinese roots.
According to some, she created a stage character known as "Sasha" to
overcome her shyness.
