Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on 23 November 1992, is an American performer, songwriter and actress. Her distinctive raspy voice is a signature of her music that incorporates elements of a variety of styles and genres including rock, country pop, experimental, pop and rock. Cyrus has been the only artist to reach the US Billboard 200 top-five albums in the 21st Century by an artist of female origin, with a total of thirteen entries. The public image, her personal life images, and performances frequently sparked controversy and garnered a lot of media attention. Cyrus was born to Billy Ray Cyrus and became an teen idol when she portrayed the lead role on the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana (2006)-2011. The accomplishments of Cyrus in the music industry include placements on the Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists chart in 2019 and inclusions on Time 100 lists in 2008/2014. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actor and has been featured in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010).
